Buying Traffic on the Web

One way of guaranteeing a steady stream of visitors to your Web pages is to buy traffic, and until your site is fully established it may be one of the only ways of getting visitors to its pages. But again, this is not so simple.

A well placed banner or text link on an authority site in the same niche could be all it takes to attract visitors by the droves, but such a link won't come cheap, and besides; there are other ways to spend money when it comes to promoting a Website. However, some are more reliable than others...

Buying Bulk Traffic
I can see absolutely no point in buying bulk traffic as it will inevitably be un-targeted traffic and that means that visitors arriving at your page have come there by an indirect route and will usually just hit the 'back' button and try another site. Especially beware of services claiming to send 20,000 visitors to your page for £20.00 or something similar - this kind of traffic will consume your bandwidth and probably offer nothing in return. It is wise to remember the old adage of 'you get what you pay for', but in the case of bulk traffic it doesn't even come close.

The only traffic worth spending any money on is targeted traffic.
