Get Your Site Indexed Quickly

The standard procedure of submitting your link to the search engines is via the add URL pages:-

Unfortunately, using this method alone means it could take months for your site to get indexed. So it is useful to know that there are a couple of alternative methods that will get a new site crawled by the SE robots within a week or so (usually within a couple of days!).

Create A Press Release
A well crafted press release will be distributed to thousands of on-line outlets, and if you are lucky, many off-line ones too. So it is the professionals preferred method and can give a new site a kick start like nothing else.

If you intend to write your own press release then remember to write in the third person, be objective, and above all try to give it a newsworthy slant.

Blogging and Pinging
If you have an established blog then simply write a short piece about the new site and include a link to it. Pinging your blog will get search engine spiders crawling it very quickly and the new site will usually be indexed within a couple of days at most.

If you don't have a blog then start one! It is a very easy way to help drive traffic to a Website and also a good way of keeping customers / users up to date on what is happening in your business.

There are many excellent guides that go into great detail about 'blogging and pinging', so if you want to learn more then searching for “blog and ping” will yield plenty of results for further study.

Link from an established site
Another way to get a new Website crawled and indexed quickly is to get a link from an established high PR site (PR6 or above). If the pagerank of the linking page itself carries the ranking then so much the better. Use the link building methods described above to achieve this and don't rule out paying for a link on a high PR page as the value gained for your newbie site will make the money spent a good investment.
